Whitepaper: CSI: Bringing It To Life!

Continual Service Improvement is increasing in prominence with the ITIL community. Why? Because it helps protect against losing your competitive edge and ensures you achieve the best possible outcome.

CSI: Bringing It To Life! is a new white paper from Pink Elephant's Gary Case, one of the world's foremost ITIL authorities – and co-author of the ITIL V3 book, Continual Service Improvement. In the paper, Gary outlines the scope of Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and where to start improvement initiatives. He also describes two key roles involved: CSI Analyst and CSI Manager.

itSMF Singapore Collaborates with PMI and ISACA

If you’re a IT Service Management professional, you’re probably well aware that ITIL V3 focuses on a Service Lifecycle approach. Overall, this approach covers strategic aspects of IT not present in V2.

As a result, frameworks and methodologies such as Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) are becoming more important because of interfaces with ITIL. Additionally, V3 stresses the importance of project management, simply because all process improvement plans should be managed closely to time, budget and quality constraints.

With this in mind, the itSMF Singapore chapter is focusing on developing relationships with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI), associations dedicated to COBIT and project management respectively. Our goal is to help our members locate resources and information that will enable them to succeed at their jobs!

Watch our newsletter and website for more information about our collaborations!
